Zoran Jordanoski represented the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ - Operating Unit on Policy-driven Electronic Governance (²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-EGOV) as a speaker at the , held in Baku, Azerbaijan, under the theme ¡°AI for Humanity and Transformation¡±.
The event brought together policymakers, practitioners, and researchers to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can foster inclusivity and innovation in social services.
In a reflection following the event, Jordanoski noted that ¡°the real promise of AI in social protection isn¡¯t efficiency. It¡¯s empathy at scale. When technology helps us reach people before they fall behind, when it restores fairness, and when it makes public institutions more transparent, then AI truly serves humanity¡±.
He further highlighted that the key challenge ahead ¡°is not just to build smarter systems, but fairer ones, systems that protect, include, and empower¡±. Achieving this balance, he added, requires ¡°reconciling data protection with social inclusivity, not by choosing one over the other, but by designing regulatory ecosystems that are risk-based, privacy-by-design, and collaborative, so that privacy enables inclusion rather than limits it¡±.
²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-EGOV expresses its gratitude to DOST Agentliyi for the warm hospitality and excellent organization, and to all fellow speakers and participants for such meaningful discussions.
