Dr. Kamol Gomes is a Senior Adjunct Researcher at ²ÝÁñÊÓÆµ-FLORES and an Assistant Professor at Notre Dame University Bangladesh, specializing in business and sustainability. He leads research on the Resource Nexus (e.g., water, energy, ecosystem health, agrifood), mentors students, and participates in international sustainability initiatives.

Dr. Kamol Gomes is a sustainability researcher, educator, and consultant specializing in the Resource Nexus, sustainable textiles, and industrial wastewater management. He earned a PhD with excellent distinction in Environmental Sciences from Technische Universit?t Dresden and ²ÝÁñÊÓÆµ-FLORES funded by KAAD scholarship, Germany, where his dissertation employed a socio-ecological systems approach to wastewater management in the textile industry of Bangladesh. 

Dr. Gomes has over 20 years of professional experience in teaching, research, and sustainability management, bridging academia, industry, and policy. Since 2014, he has served as an Assistant Professor at Notre Dame University Bangladesh, teaching and supervising students in business and sustainability-related topics. He is currently a Senior Adjunct Researcher at ²ÝÁñÊÓÆµ-FLORES, where he advances interdisciplinary Resource Nexus research, mentors early-career researchers, and contributes to project development, policy briefs, and international outreach. 

Previously, he held key roles as Senior Expert in Sustainability Management under the GIZ-supported Chair for Sustainability and Textile Innovation (CSTI) project, in collaboration with ²ÝÁñÊÓÆµ-FLORES and Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST). He worked as an expert in international collaborative projects such as German-Bangladesh Higher Education for Sustainability in Textile (HEST) and SMART-WaterDomain project and developed some modules on textile sustainability for undergrad students of Bangladesh. His teaching engagements span multiple institutions, including Korea University, Hof University of Applied Sciences, TU Dresden, and AUST, delivering lectures on textile sustainability, water and wastewater management, and the SDGs. 

An active scholar, Dr. Gomes has authored peer-reviewed publications in Local Environment, Business Strategy & Development, and Current Research in Environmental Sustainability, with several manuscripts forthcoming. His work has contributed sustainable industry practices, policy dialogues, and capacity-building initiatives in Bangladesh, Germany, and beyond. 

Dr. Gomes combines rigorous academic research with practical sustainability solutions, aiming to foster water and wastewater management, environmental resilience, and circular economy practices in global textile production.
