In October 2022 the Global Environmental Outreach Centre (GEOC) released a new issue of Tsunakan (Vol. 40), a journal focusing on global partnerships for the environment. GEOC is a joint initiative of ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS and the Ministry of the Environment, Japan, which supports activities in various social sectors towards sustainability within and beyond Japan.
The ¡°Global View¡± section of the publication featured an article by Emi Yoshinaga (Programme Coordinator, ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS) outlining the outcomes of the Water for Sustainable Development project which analysed the impact of water use and water quality on the economy and society. The article discusses ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS contributions to achieving SDG 6 (clean water and sanitation) through research activities and partnerships with other UN and international organisations.
