World Wetlands Day is celebrated every year on 2 February to mark the date on which the Convention on Wetlands was adopted in 1971.
²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS, Wetlands International Japan, and the Global Environment Outreach Centre will co-organise a webinar to observe World Wetlands Day 2021 on 2 February from 18:00¨C20:00 JST.
The theme of the event is ¡°Wetlands and Water¡±. The webinar will address challenges and discuss solutions to the sustainable management of water resources and wetlands by sharing insights from the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-IAS and case studies from local community on water and wetlands.
The webinar will be held in both English and Japanese; simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
