²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-INRA organised a workshop to disseminate LANDSURF project¡¯s key findings and build technical capacity on DSS application. LANDSURF- Land Surface Processes as a Determinant of Climate Change in Africa ¨C Scenarios, High-Resolution Modeling And Development of a Stakeholder Data Portal, is part of the WASCAL WRAP 2.0 initiative supported by the German Federal Ministry of High Education and Research, or Bundesministerium fu?r Bildung und Forschung (BMBF). A critical part of ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-INRA'S role in the LANDSURF project was to develop a web portal as an interactive Decision Support System (DSS) for use in agriculture, food production, and land management. This portal is intended to assist stakeholders and smallholders in adapting to regional climate changes in sub-Saharan West Africa. After three years of intensive research, the project partners achieved significant scientific milestones that necessitated the dissemination of key findings to key stakeholders in Ghana. ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-INRA's research fellow, Barbara Baidoo presented key research findings from her reasearch over the years, gave presentations on DSS portal and together with WASCAL experts, provided training and working group sessions on the use of the DSS portal. Participating stakeholders came from key ministerial sectors in Ghana such as Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Forestry Commission, Environmental Protection Agency, GMET, Ghana Hydrological Services, Ministry of Science, Technology and Information amongst others.
