Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) requires addressing widespread disparities in global plumbing poverty. However, a crucial and often overlooked step in this process is empowering women (SDG 5). This talk will explore how rethinking the linkages between water and health¡ªbeyond direct impacts to include severe indirect consequences such as gender-based violence¡ªcan lead to more effective and equitable solutions.
