²ÝÁñÊÓƵ, Institute for Water, Environment and Health and the University of Pretoria will be hosting the official launch ceremony of the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Hub on Resilient Environment, agriculture, climate and health for Africa at the University of Pretoria. This is the first ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Hub to be launched in Africa and in the Global South. The Hub hosted in the Future Africa Campus will be led by the top African scientists and will focus on research, education, and policy issues related to water, agriculture, land, climate change, and planetary health in Africa and beyond.
²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-INWEH and the University of Pretoria are especially pleased to welcome the esteemed guest of honour, Professor Tshilidzi Marwala, the Rector of the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ and Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, who will be joining this significant occasion.
This special launch event is being organised in conjunction with South Africa¡¯s Presidency of the G20.
