Global challenges require global solutions, so Arslan sees himself as a global citizen. His time at international universities, intergovernmental organizations, and research institutes has shaped his research interests. He studies environmental (eco-) innovations and investigates why firms often fail to adopt them. Currently, he is first supervised by Prof. Dr. Rene¡¯ Kemp (²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-Merit) and second supervised by Prof. Dr. Torsten Niechoj (HSRW: Hochschule Rhein-Waal).

Previously, he completed his fundamental studies in Engineering, followed by a Bachelor's in Economics. He earned his Master's degree with distinction in Evolutionary Innovation Economics from the Friedrich©\Schiller University of Jena. He holds an advanced PhD leading degree in Economic Policy (commonly MASt) from the Kiel Institute of World Economics (IFW Kiel). He currently represents his cohort as the elected Vice President of the IFW Alumni Network.
