1 August 2022 ¡ª The ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ (²ÝÁñÊÓƵ) is pleased to announce the arrival of Ms Kyra ¡°Kiki¡± Bowman as the new ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Head of Communications, from 1 August 2022.
In this role, Ms Bowman oversees the daily operations of the Tokyo-based ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Office of Communications, coordinates communications activities across the global ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ system, and guides the implementation of ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ¡¯s communications strategy and brand.
¡°I am very pleased to welcome Ms Bowman to the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ family¡±, said ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Rector and UN Under-Secretary-General David M. Malone. ¡°Kiki brings strong management experience and a deep understanding of the interconnected elements of global communications, branding, digital outreach, and media relations ¡ª all of which will be vital in guiding ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ to reach new audiences through its forthcoming website platform and new visual identity.¡±
Ms Bowman has more than 12 years of experience building stakeholder-focused teams within branding, digitisation, and communications organisations in New York and Tokyo. Most recently before joining ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ, she served as Director of Operations at Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo, a global advertising agency.
Ms Bowman holds a BA in Theater and Psychology from Macalester College (USA) and an MFA in Theater Studies from Naropa University (USA).
