The purpose of this project is to facilitate the dissemination and understanding of knowledge created in ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-WIDER with a focus on the primary target audiences; including national and international policy makers and UN institutions. The project concentrates on creating iterative processes of internal and external learning and capacity building, training, brokering, translating, sharing and transferring knowledge throughout the programme cycle with the aim of effectively communicating research results to decision makers and development practitioners. Translating and sharing takes place through synthesizing, summarizing and re-working the research with the aim of making it available for ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-WIDER¡¯s stakeholders in a form they can use. An important part of this is 'people-to-people' communication via presentations at meetings, the WIDER development conferences, policy workshops, seminars, the Annual Lecture, book launches, results meetings, and special events. Furthermore, efforts to make ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-WIDER's outputs freely available through open access are supported by this project alongside all virtual outreach and dissemination activities that take place at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ-WIDER using its website, social media channels and blogs.
