The Finance Against Slavery and Trafficking (FAST) initiative, through its Latin America and Caribbean Advisory Group, focuses on improving financial inclusion for those vulnerable to modern slavery, particularly in crisis-ridden Haiti.

This exploratory study in collaboration with the Interuniversity Institute for Research and Development (INURED) identifies financial challenges and vulnerabilities contributing to modern slavery in Haiti, emphasizing the importance of addressing these issues in the financial sector's efforts to prevent exploitation. Despite significant challenges, the study highlights the resilience of certain populations in creating tools to mitigate financial vulnerability.

This report suggests considering the ethical integration of these local financial solutions into broader financial sector efforts to expand their reach in Haiti.
